Tulum Wedding Photography

Photographing Your Wedding in Tulum

My name is Kevin Patrick Robbins and I am the founder of Blackwood Studios. I'm an advertising, fashion, and wedding photographer. I live and work near Toronto, Canada. I'd love to shoot your wedding in Tulum.

I am a storyteller. My background in photography comes through photojournalism, working at a weekly newspaper in university, then later, as a photo editor at a daily newspaper in Niagara Falls, Canada. Now, I exist to tell the love stories of amazing couples through my photography.

Fashion and editorial photography for magazines has been my bread and butter for the past three years. I have shot images for close to 50 feature articles and my images have been on more than 20 covers.

You can view that work on my commercial photography website.

Hiring Me Will Save You Money:

We are currently building our destination wedding photography portfolio. Destination weddings are a big part of our future at Blackwood Studios. The difficult part about becoming a destination wedding photographer, though, is actually building a portfolio of destination weddings. This allows us to offer our services at a rate that would be less expensive for you to hire us, than it would be to hire a photographer local to the area.

In most cases, we are currently taking on destination wedding clients at rate that covers the costs of travel, accommodations and costs for two photographers (myself and a second). We charge a flat rate and book our own flights and accommodations, so you don't have to worry about logistics.

Resort photographers can be very expensive.

If you are staying at a resort, your wedding package might include a photographer. Often, what it doesn't include, is any images. They will sell some images for $10 each and other images, such as your first kiss, they will price at hundreds of dollars, just for that one shot. Ultimately, you could find yourself paying upwards of $5,000 just to get about 25 images. When you hire us, you will get at least 500 images with full printing rights.

What You Receive:

  1. 12 hours of wedding day coverage

  2. Complimentary on-location engagement/couples photos session

  3. Digital delivery of at least 500, fully edited images

Why Am I Offering This?

A few reasons...

  1. I've always wanted to visit the Tulum and the Mayan Riviera. I love the history, the monuments, the people, and of course, being Canadian, the weather.

  2. Destination weddings are a big part of our future at Blackwood Studios. The difficult part about building a portfolio, though, is having actual destination weddings to photograph.

  3. I love to travel and make new friends from around the world. We'll be spending the better part of a week together, so we'll get to know each other very well.
